Palmco Energy is one of the biggest scams to hit NJ! They promise you "lower" rates than PSE&G which is NOT true. DO NOT switch over. They solicited me through the phone, at first they make it appear that they are from PSE&G and when it's time to enroll with them thats when they will inform the customer that they are not. Here is what they do not disclose to you. Number 1- they do not disclose to you that their rates are "variable" they do not tell you that the rates can go up whenever they "feel" like it. Number 2- they do not disclose the fact that though they are the "supplier" you STILL have to pay PSE&G for "delivery" charges which is almost as much as your bill. So you are left paying DOUBLE the amount of what you would have paid. So beware they will not disclose that to you, and if they do you will be paying A LOT of money for supply and delivery. Number 3- they do not disclose to you that the process to sign up with them takes about 2-3 months, and here's the catch. Once you realize that you are being charged extra money the process to CANCEL takes about 2-3 months as well. So you are STUCK with Palmco wether you like it or not because it's a "process" which they NEVER tell you. Once I called to cancel my services with them the following month I received a bill of $400 AND they INCREASED my rates and when I spoke to them about it they said well thats the "variable" rate that I signed up for, even though PSE&G were at a MUCH MUCH lower rate. Mind you NO contract was signed it was all over the phone. Buyers beware! Do not sign with this company! They have THE WORST customer service, they are a SCAM they do not fully disclose all the information that is needed. They might show you a lower rate but they can RAISE it whenever they feel like it, and because they are not regulated there is nothing the consumer can do about it.

The word "scam" isn't strong enough to describe how despicable Palmco is. Found out much later than I should have that I was paying almost double versus the CT Light & Power.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. Just found out I've been dooped too. Got service in May 2011 because rates were low and you didn't have to sign year contract. Found out today that I am paying double .136 when PA Gas offers .0645 and first energy charges .0739. PALMCO banks consumers not looking at their bills closely like I haven't. What a horrible company. Consumers BEWARE.

I just realized I am one of hundreds of people who have been duped by PALMCO. Over the past year (or so) I have paid at least $1,000 more than PECO would have charged.

Palmco's prices almost doubled from their advertised rate (around 0.07 - 0.08 per KW) when I switched to them in 2011. During July, the hottest month of 2012 in Chester County they charged me 0.16 per KW. The month before they charged me 0.11 per KW and for August the charge was 0.14 per KW. I changed provider right after I received the July bill but they managed to hang on to me for another month. I have changed to Con Edison with a fixed rate less than 0.09. Fortunately for others, Palmco is no longer an option for Chester County, PA.

My last month with Palmco they charged me double per KWH to compare with their advertisement prices. Their prices variable and that means you have a big surprise each months. After two months sign a contract their Prices going up and they are much higher then PECO prices, so I actually was not saving but loosing. My last bill Palmco compare to PECO I overpaid $120.00, and when I called Palmco they only offered me $54.00 credit. Looking back to my bills Palmco prices always been higher then PECO however their promises was help their customers to save money.

After offering a fairly low competitive rate, (variable, with no contract), my price to compare has gone up around 33%. I have now switched to another provider. DO NOT USE PALMCO. They practice a bait and switch.
